Three Marks of Existence

I was so pissed with the attitude and self-righteousness of my eldest brother today.

It set me wondering: how not to get angry when we have these people forced upon our lives?

Later I came across one of those notes on facebook:

Sabbe saṅkhārā aniccā’ti yadā paññāya passati
Atha nibbindati dukkhe esa maggo visuddhiyā.

‘All created things perish,’ he who knows and sees this becomes passive in pain; this is the way to purity.

Sabbe saṅkhārā dukkhā’ti yadā paññāya passati
Atha nibbindati dukkhe esa maggo visuddhiyā.

‘All created things are grief and pain,’ he who knows and sees this becomes passive in pain; this is the way that leads to purity.

Sabbe dhammā anattā’ti yadā paññāya passati
Atha nibbindati dukkhe esa maggo visuddhiyā.

‘All forms are unreal,’ he who knows and sees this becomes passive in pain; this is the way that leads to purity.

Sadhu, sadhu!
